Senior Accountant

Purpose of the Job : Responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial reporting and accounting functions. This role includes preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and performing audits to maintain financial integrity. The Senior Accountant also analyzes financial data to provide insights that support strategic decision-making. Additionally, they may supervise junior accounting staff, streamline accounting processes, and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial records and effective budget management. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure compliance with internal controls and risk management procedures. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations. Manage and oversee the general ledger and journal entries. Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable. Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments. Analyze financial discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and support. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for all transactions. Manage tax compliance, including preparation and filing of tax returns. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
